On September 28, 2020, a science popularization lecture was made in the No.2 Middle School of Qianshan City. The lecture was given by Mr. Liu Jiaqi, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a well-known geologist. More than 600 students and teachers listened to the report.
Academician Liu Jiaqi explained the basic composition and historical evolution of the earth and described the charm of earth sciences with pictures. The lecture was lively and interesting with the light of science and wisdom. His humble attitude, profound academic background and loyalty to the scientific research, persistent pursuit, deeply moved all the teachers and students.
