Aug. 24 to Aug. 28, 2015 Chinese Volcanic Geoparks Forum was successfully held
in Yandangshan Global Geopark. This forum was co-initiated by Yandangshan,
Wudalianchi, Ningde, Leiqiong and Jinpohu Global Geoparks, under the theme of “Cooperation,
Communication and Sustainable Development”. The forum invited experts from the

the forum, domestic and foreign experts made academic exchanges and in-depth
discussions on the management, development and challenges of volcanic geoparks,
the promotion and publicity of research results, and the domestic and foreign
cooperation relationship for the sustainable development, and they also put
forward various plans to solve realistic problems.

Chinese volcanic geoparks jointly set up Chinese Volcanic Geoparks Alliance,
which would continuously promote the protection of resources and environment,
geo-tourism, marketing, management interaction, scientific research and
international cooperation, vigorously propelling the sustainable development of
Chinese volcanic geoparks. Currently 8 volcanic geoparks have joined the
alliance.
