From April 10 to April 16, the National Training Course on Paleontological Fossils Excavation and Restoration Skills
was held by China University of Geosciences (
The training content included:
geology, paleontology, basic knowledge of anatomy; National Conservation
Regulations on Paleontological Fossils and the implementation methods;
geological background analysis of fossil sites and simulation of field excavation;
rationale and methods of fossil restoration; fossil restoration tools and
materials; collection and preservation technical regulations on rocks, minerals
and fossils specimen resources; practical training in fossil sites, museums or scientific
research institutes.
