The core production area of Ancient Doumu Potteryis is located in Doumu Township, within the boundaries of Tianzhushan UGGp. There is a large amount of high-quality, high-yielding red and yellow clay, known for its density, strong adhesion, low porosity, and water absorption. It is an exceptional raw material for pottery production. Dating back over 5,000 years, the early inhabitants of Qianshan constructed kilns and workshops along the slopes, kneaded and shaped clay, and mastered the art of pottery making. Following traditional techniques, they fired their creations in the colossal dragon-shaped kilns, resulting in the production of exquisite and functional ceramic artifacts. The entire process has become known as a "living relic of pottery craftsmanship." In 2021, the Ancient Doumu Pottery Firing Technique was officially listed as an extended representative item of national intangible cultural heritage. In March 2022, Ancient Doumu Pottery was recognized as a time-honored brand in Anhui Province.

Established in 2000, Qianshan Tianzhu Ceramics Co., Ltd. is an esteemed company that holds the distinction of being a national protectorate of intangible cultural heritage. The company has established the Ancient Doumu Pottery Training Base, which serves as a platform for nurturing and preserving the skills of pottery craftsmen. Employing innovative kiln techniques, the company has successfully improved its production processes. Additionally, it has developed an extensive range of cultural and creative products, including tableware, tea sets, wine sets, floral vessels, medicinal vessels, and stationery for study and office use. These products, spanning 12 series and thousands of items, are marketed and sold worldwide.

In June 2021, ancient Doumu pottery firing techniques were officially included in the fifth batch of the national list of representative items of intangible cultural heritage by the State Council. The base has been recognized as a base for the transmission of intangible cultural heritage in Anhui Province, an educational base for primary and secondary school students to study and practice, a base for cooperation between industry and academia at Anhui University of Architecture, an educational practice base at Anqing Normal University and a partner of Tianzhushan UGGp. In recent years, the base has held more than 200 study events such as "Walking with History Time", "Ancient Doumu Pottery Cultural Tourism Festival" and “Ancient Doumu Pottery International Cultural Exchange". More than 400,000 people from 35 countries and regions have come to visit, exchange and practice.
