In April 2014, the experts of the International Continental Scientific Drilling Project (ICDP) investigated the typical outcrops of eclogite of the Dabieshan UHP metamorphic belt, they agreed that Dabieshan is the “Natural Lab” for studying continental deep subduction and retracing, and they also speak highly of the work of in protecting and scientifically utilizing the geoheritage.

From 2014 to 2015, a research team from China University of Geosciences, Beijing (CUGB) has been studying interpretation system of the geoheritage of Tianzhushan.
