Anhui Provine Qianshan Yezhai Middle School was built in 1943 in memory of soldiers who died in the war of resistance against Japanese invaders. Created by celebrities from Anhui, Hubei and Henan provinces, the school, initially known as “Jingzhong High School”, was built through fundraising. In January, 2002 it was named as “Demonstration High School of Anhui Province” by the Education Department of Anhui Province. Following the school tradition of “working hard and being pragmatic”, teachers of Yezhai High School have educated a great number of excellent students for the country. The graduation rate rises year by year. A great many students have been admitted to famous universities like Tsinghua University and Peking University. The rates of students who get admission to colleges and major universities ranks among the top in provincial and municipal schools, and a large number of outstanding graduates from these universities then go on to develop their careers in society.
