Established in September, 1958, University of Science and Technology (USTC) was moved to its current location of Hefei, Anhui Province in early 1970. Under the guidance of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), USTC is one of China’s key comprehensive universities, which focuses on frontier areas of science and advanced technology, and boasts unique management and humanities.

On April 29, 2010, the outdoor activities organized by the class of MBA0908 were carried out in the picturesque Tianzhu Mountain. MBA students from USTC had a wonderful trip there as they experienced team building and enjoyed outdoor development trainings.

December 6, 2014 (October 15 of the lunar calendar) marked the Nirvana anniversary of Master Sengcan, the third Patriarch of Chan. On that day, the first Seminar on Chan Culture was convened officially in Qianshan County at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain by Sanzu Temple, which is located at Tianzhu Mountain, Anqing, Anhun Province. Prof. Pan Zhengxiang, Secretary of the party committee of School of Humanities, USTC and Mr. Zhou Xianchou, Professor of the same school, among others, attended the seminar and made a keynote speech.
