To popularize earth science knowledge and enhance awareness of natural resource conservation, Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark will host a series of science popularization activities for the 57th World Earth Day and the 7th Asia Pacific Geopark Week. Through offline popularization and online interaction, we will explore the mysteries of geology and protect our common homeland.

I. Offline Science Popularization Activities

1. Flagship Event for World Earth Day

· Time: April 22

· Venue: Tianzhushan Geopark Museum, Wancheng Primary School

· Highlights: Opening ceremony, appointment of science popularization instructors, group signature campaign; guided tour of the museum, geological field study; expert lecture The Secrets of the Earth.

1. Special Science Popularization on Campus

· Time: April 27

· Venue: Tianzhushan Tourism School, Meicheng Primary School, Wancheng Primary School, Tianzhushan Central Primary School

· Highlights: Invited authoritative geoscience experts will deliver lectures on minerals, rocks, earthquakes, salt lakes, meteorites, the spirit of scientists, and other topics.

II. Online Joint Event with Sister Geoparks of China’s UNESCO Global Geoparks

We will participate in the national online joint activity of UNESCO Global Geoparks. Through interactive quizzes, challenges, live streaming, short video shows and other forms, we will popularize geological knowledge and showcase the charm of geoparks. Participants will have a chance to win cultural and creative gifts.

All teachers, students and citizens are warmly welcome to join us, experience the fascination of geology, and practice the concept of ecological protection.
