Anqing Vocational and Technical College is a comprehensive publicly-funded higher vocational institution. It holds various prestigious titles, including being recognized as a high-quality institution for cultivating talents in rural revitalization by the national government, a model vocational education group by the Ministry of Education, an outstanding school for talent development evaluation by the Ministry of Education, a pilot institution for modern apprenticeship system by the Ministry of Education, and one of the initial construction units of high-level universities focusing on local skills in Anhui Province. It is also recognized as a model higher vocational college in Anhui Province, a typical school-enterprise cooperation model institution, and a demonstration school for innovation and entrepreneurship education.

The campus covers an expansive area of over 1000 mu, with a substantial floorage of nearly 300,000 m2. Currently, the college has over 14,000 full-time students. It boasts more than 200 internship and practical training facilities, including 15 production-oriented training bases, 3 vocational education training bases supported by the central government, 17 provincial model experimental training centers, 4 provincial skill master workshops, 7 provincial school-enterprise cooperation education practice bases, 1 provincial experimental zone for talent training mode innovation, and 4 provincial excellence in talent education and training program project.

The College has undertaken over 160 research projects at the provincial and ministerial levels. It holds 12 national invention patents and 70 utility and design patents. The college has received two national teaching achievement awards and has been selected as a provider of one national high-quality course and one national "14th Five-Year Plan" textbook. Moreover, it has established the first national teaching innovation team of vocational education teachers.
