To popularize earth science knowledge and enhance awareness of natural resource conservation, Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark will host a series of science popularization activities for the 57th World Earth Day and the 7th Asia Pacific Geopark Week. Through offline popularization and online interaction, we will explore the mysteries of geology and protect our common homeland.

On March 6-7,
2023, six representatives from Xiangxi UGGp in Hunan Province came to Tianzhushan
UGGp for an exchange visit. The delegation first visited Tianzhushan Geopark
Museum, then both UGGps held a discussion and exchange meeting, during which, both
UGGps signed a "sister parks" agreement and formed a friendly
cooperation relationship. Both sides will work together to promote the
scientific management and sustainable development of UGGps by exchanging and
sharing experience in the areas of protection and management, planning and
construction, geological research, and science popularization, etc.
The delegation successively
visited the granite landform area, Valley Stream cultural park, Doumu national
intangible cultural heritage site and fossil sites of Tianzhushan UGGp. The two
sides had an in-depth exchange and discussion on the construction and
management, scientific research and popularization as well as the revalidation
work of UGGps.
