To popularize earth science knowledge and enhance awareness of natural resource conservation, Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark will host a series of science popularization activities for the 57th World Earth Day and the 7th Asia Pacific Geopark Week. Through offline popularization and online interaction, we will explore the mysteries of geology and protect our common homeland.

To celebrate the
International Museum Day (May 18), Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark, together
with the Qianshan Youth Off-Campus Activity Center, successfully held the 4th
"Little Docent" Selection Contest at the Tianzhushan Geopark Museum
on May 17. The event aimed to give full play to the museum's social education
function and foster teenagers' deep affection for Tianzhushan UGGp and their
hometown.

After a fierce
preliminary round, 24 outstanding contestants advanced to the final. The
competition was lively and exciting. With confidence and grace, the young
participants delivered vivid and passionate presentations, elaborating on
Tianzhushan's unique geological wonders, rich biodiversity, and profound Wan
culture. Their wonderful performances won warm applause from the judges and
audience, fully demonstrating the diligent, thoughtful and positive spirit of
modern teenagers.
First Prizes
Judges scored
and commented comprehensively based on the content, language expression and
overall performance. In the end, 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 6 third
prizes were awarded. All award-winning students were appointed as "Little
Docents" of Tianzhushan Geopark Museum and will join the volunteer team to
provide free guiding services for visitors during holidays and festivals.
Second Prizes
As a flagship
science education activity of Tianzhushan Geopark Museum, the "Little
Docent" Contest has long been a quality platform for teenagers to visit
the museum, learn about natural and cultural heritage, and improve
comprehensive abilities. The event not only inspired teenagers' interest in
geological science and hometown culture inheritance, but also cultivated a
group of young volunteer promoters for cultural heritage.
Third Prizes
Outstanding Participation Awards
In the next
step, Tianzhushan Geopark Museum will regularly organize training sessions and
volunteer tours for little docents. By making full use of its role as a science
promotion and cultural education base, the museum will help the geological
heritage take root in young hearts and encourage young voices to tell the
stories of Tianzhushan well.
