Qianshan No.2 Middle School of Anhui Province is situated on Wanguo East Road in Qianshan City, Anhui Province, nearby the Erqiao Park and covers an expansive area of 0.097 km2. The school traces its origins back to the establishment of Anhui Qianshan Junior Normal School in 1956. In August 1961, it underwent a transformation and became the high school division of Qianshan Middle School. In July 1977, Qianshan County No.2 Middle School was established. In 1984, it was restructured as Anhui Tianzhushan Advanced Vocational School. In May 1993, approved by the Anhui Provincial Education Commission, the vocational school system was revoked, and the school was restored as a general high school, adopting the name "Anhui Qianshan County No.2 Middle School."

In February 2004, the school was elevated to the status of Anqing Model High School, and in May 2013, it further achieved recognition as the Anhui Provincial Model High School. In October 2013, the school completed the construction of a new campus and underwent a complete relocation.

The school has received numerous honorary titles, including "Anhui Famous School of Home Education" "Anhui Model Parent School" "Anqing Safe Campus" "Anqing Labor Competition Advanced Collective" "Anqing Road Traffic Safety Demonstration School" and "Anqing Drug Prevention Education Demonstration School."

In May 2023, the School and Tianzhushan UGGp Management Centre jointly launched a series of promotional activities of "World Environment Day" at the Tianzhushan UGGp Geological Museum, with the theme of advocating low-carbon living and being a green citizen.
