Wanjian Village is located in Longtan Township, Qianshan City, northwest of Tianzhushan UGGp. It is a traditional Chinese village and a typical traditional farming clan settlement in southwest Anhui Province, 8 km from Longtan Township Government, with an area of 22 km2.
Most of the ancient buildings in Wanjian Village are laid out in the form of single groups, with the graphic shapes of the Chinese characters “日” and “目” being the most common. The Yang ancestors broke the rules of the symmetrical pattern of Hui-style architecture by designing Wanjian Village as a pattern of three rooms in the east and four in the west, with the eastern three bending towards the front and extending three rooms.
The main attractions of Wanjian Village include the Yang’s Ancestral Hall, the Yang’s Old House and Qiyun Daoist Temple, where the national intangible cultural heritage of Huangmei Opera is passed down.
