Heavy snow fell in Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark from Jan. 24 to Jan. 27, turning Tianzhushan Geopark into a fairyland.

Tianzhushan Geopark Administrative Committee made a timely announcement that it would temporarily close the scenic area to tourists due to safety considerations, and made contingency plans to combat bad weather, organising staff to shovel snow together with local communities.

More than 200 people from Tianzhushan Town, Shuihou Town, Meicheng Town, Doumu Village and surrounding villages and staff from the public security bureau, law enforcement bureau, education bureau and transportation bureau also participated in the snow shovelling activity. Tianzhushan Geopark Administrative Committee arranged more than ten tourist buses to deliver tools, bread and hot water.

After six days' hard work, Tianzhushan Geopark cleared the heavy snow on the tourist road as part of a huge team effort.
