April 22, 2024 is the 55th World Earth Day, and the theme of this year's Earth Day is "Planet vs. Plastics". In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, publicize Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, guide the whole society to establish the concept of ecological civilization of "respecting nature, conforming to nature, and protecting nature", promote the construction of beautiful Qianshan, and jointly build an earth home where man and nature coexist in harmony, Tianzhushan Global Geopark, Anqing Qianshan Ecological Environment Branch and Qianshan Pailou Central Primary School jointly carried out the 55th "World Earth Day" and the 5th Asia-Pacific Geopark Week Science Popularization Campaign. In the form of museum-school cooperation and joint construction and common benefit, Tianzhushan Geopark will give full play to the social education function of the museum and jointly build a "second classroom" for popular science education.

On June 6, Tianzhushan UGGp held a review meeting for
the popular science micro-video script for the 10th anniversary of Tianzhushan
Global Geopark. The script was reviewed by Mr. Tong Jingsong, director of Science
and Technology Division of Geology and Mining Bureau of Anhui Province, and
secretary of Geological Society of Anhui Province, Mr. Zheng Yangui, culture
and history expert of Qianshan City, Mr. Wu Weiping, professor-level senior
engineer of Geological Survey Institute of Anhui Province, Ms. Huang Hui,
director of Exhibition and Education Department of Anhui Geopark Museum and Ms.
Nie Linghui, deputy curator of Qianshan Library.
At the meeting, experts put forward pertinent and
constructive suggestions on the theme intention, logical structure, narrative
strategy, special effects presentation, styles, lens selection, character
images, dynamic effects and other detailed comments.
Mr. Gao Jianqiang, director of Tianzhushan Geopark
Administrative Center, required that the micro-video producers and the script
creators should continue to do a good job in communication and coordination,
and integrate the experts’ opinions into the film in various forms, to ensure
that the micro-video better present the beautiful image of Tianzhushan UGGp.
