October 13, 2022 marks the 33^rd International Day for Disaster Reduction, with this year's theme being "Early Warning, Early Action". In order to enhance the students' awareness of disaster risk prevention and improve the comprehensive disaster reduction ability of the campus, Tianzhushan Geopark Administrative Center invited Professor Wu Weiping, a geological expert from Geological Survey Institute of Anhui Province , to give a special lecture on "types of geological disasters, early warning and early action" to the students of the Second High School of Qianshan City.

Through PPT pictures and videos and a large number of detailed cases of geological disasters, the lecture reproduced the geological disasters that happened around the world and caused great damage to the local people and ecology, including the Wenchuan earthquake. The common geological disasters such as landslide, debris flow and collapse are enumerated, and their causes and preventive measures were introduced in detail. The lecture disseminated the basic knowledge of geological disasters, scientific prediction methods and geological disaster escape knowledge, aiming to enhance students' understanding of natural disasters and make students deeply understand the inducing factors of natural disasters, so as to improve students' ability of emergency risk aversion, emergency escape and self-care and self-rescue in response to sudden disasters and accidents.

The interaction between Professor Wu and the students after the lecture helped students benefit a lot.
