In order to enhance the interpretation level and regulate the practices of tour guides in Qianshan City, from April 10-23, Tianzhushan Global Geopark, together with Qianshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports and Tianzhushan Tourism School, carried out the 2023 annual training course for tour guides.
The training course lasted for 13 days, including 5 days of theoretical training, 5 days of field practices and 3 days of interview assessment. The course covered guide services, basic knowledge of tour guide, TikTok live broadcast skills, short video shooting and release, paleontological fossils, natural resources, culture of Tianzhushan, geoparks, B&B, food and other courses, enabling the students to grow up to be a competent tour guide at the fastest speed. The training participants gained an in-depth understanding of the geoheritages, biodiversity and other natural sciences of Tianzhushan UGGp.
Tour guide is an important window of tourism services and image, an important force to inherit and promote the excellent culture, and it is also a key factor to enhance the quality of tourism services, so the interpreter must have high comprehensive quality and business skills to tell well the stories of Tianzhushan UGGp.
