April 22, 2023 is the 54th World Earth Day, and the theme of this year's Earth Day is "Cherish the Earth, Harmony between Man and Nature". To further guide the whole society to establish the ecological civilization concept of "respecting nature, adapting to nature and protecting nature", promote the construction of beautiful Qianshan, and jointly build an earth home where people and nature live in harmony, Tianzhushan Global Geopark and Shuzhou Primary School of Qianshan City will jointly hold a series of thematic publicity activities for the World Earth Day 2023.
From December 8th to 10th, Professor Ma Changqian and
Professor Xiao Long of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) came to Tianzhushan
UGGp for inspection and exchange, and they were entrusted by British geologist
Professor Roger Mason to donate a Precambrian Charnia masoni fossil model to Tianzhushan Geopark Museum.
During the inspection, Professor Ma Changqian and
Professor Xiao Long respectively carried out theme lectures in Qianshan No. 2
Middle School and Qianshan Yezhai Middle School to popularize geoscience
knowledge to students. Based on their own work experience, the two professors encouraged
the students to complete their studies excellently, apply for the China
University of Geosciences, and strive to participate in the national strategic
projects in the future, and make contributions to the development of the
country and the rejuvenation of the nation.
