April 22, 2024 is the 55th World Earth Day, and the theme of this year's Earth Day is "Planet vs. Plastics". In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, publicize Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, guide the whole society to establish the concept of ecological civilization of "respecting nature, conforming to nature, and protecting nature", promote the construction of beautiful Qianshan, and jointly build an earth home where man and nature coexist in harmony, Tianzhushan Global Geopark, Anqing Qianshan Ecological Environment Branch and Qianshan Pailou Central Primary School jointly carried out the 55th "World Earth Day" and the 5th Asia-Pacific Geopark Week Science Popularization Campaign. In the form of museum-school cooperation and joint construction and common benefit, Tianzhushan Geopark will give full play to the social education function of the museum and jointly build a "second classroom" for popular science education.

On March 21-23, Tianzhushan UGGp, together with Qianshan Forestry Bureau, Shuzhou Primary School and Linzhuang Village Committee, jointly carried out a series of science popularization activities on World Forest Day to disseminate scientific knowledge and care for left-behind children.
On March 21, the students from Shuzhou Primary School visited the Tianzhushan Geopark Museum, Xudawu Fossil Site and the Qianshui River Wetland Park Education Hall under the guidance of the docent, and participated in a vivid lecture on birds, understanding the rich natural resources of Tianzhushan Geopark, and stimulating their sense of responsibility to protect nature, biodiversity and the earth.
On March 23, the staff of Tianzhushan Geopark came to Linzhuang Village, to carry out volunteer service activities to care for left-behind children. During the activity, the volunteers interacted with the children, listened carefully to their voices, answered their confusion in the process of growing up, and delivered various living and school supplies to them, telling them to study hard and be positive.
Volunteers also presented popular science books and picture albums of Tianzhushan UGGp to the children, read popular science books with them in the village library, popularized the geology, biology, culture and other related knowledge of Tianzhushan and cultivated their love for their hometown and beautiful Tianzhushan. The children's faces were filled with happy smiles, and they expressed their gratitude to the volunteers for their help and support, which made them feel warm.
