Qianshan Shuihou Central Primary School was founded in 1938 and renamed as Shuihou Central Primary School in the autumn of 1996 after the merger with the former Shuihou Primary School and Wuxia Primary School. The school is located in Shuihou Town, on the west of Qianshan City, at the southwest foot of Tianzhushan UGGp, upstream of Qianhe River, beside National Highway G105, 23km away from downtown, adjacent to Yanwo Village; is the demonstration of the first beautiful village cconstruction in Anhui Province, and is the Tianlongguan Rock Climbing Vedio Base and the Baimatan National Agricultural Park. The school can be described as a “small school on the landscape” in “the town of love”.
The main campus of school covers a total area of 10,600m2, with a building area of 6,000 m2, and there are students from grade 1 to grade 6. Aside from the main campus, the school also has an affiliated primary school and a kindergarten. The school serves a population of more than 20,000 people in seven administrative villages, with more than 600 students and 71 faculty.
In March 2021, the Geopark gave the students a lecture about plant grafting at the Qianshan Shuihou Central Primary School. In April 2022, the Geopark gave the students a lecture about fossils, which was one of "World Earth Day" themed activities at the school. In September 2022, the Geopark also carried out National Science Day activities at the school.
