Hanchangchong is located at Heping Village, Huangpu Town, southwest of Tianzhushan Global Geopark. It is a two-kilometer-long valley, where a plentitude of ultra high pressure (UHP) metamorphic rock assemblages, mainly eclogite, jadeite quartzite and gamet peridotite have been exposed. Of these, diamond-bearing eclogite and coesite( or its derivatives)-bearing eclogite are the most representative. A large number of scientists have carried out field investigations in this area yielding a wealth of scientific contributions of global significance. It is becoming an excellent place for teenagers to study geosciences, especially for university professors and students to do field work
