Air pollutants sources can be divided
into two groups: nature-made and man-made. These include floating dust, sand
storm, industrial wastes, tail gas and the incineration of crops, etc. Also, it
can be classified as primary pollutants, such as PM (particular matter) and
sulfur dioxide, and secondary pollutants, such as photochemical smog.
The ways to control air pollution
include environmental afforestation, climate regulation, dust interception,
harmful gases absorption and improvement of the self-cleaning capacity of the
atmosphere; centralized handling with unavoidable pollutants; reduction or
alleviation of the environmental pollutants’ harmful effect; reinforcement of
ventilation and avoiding being exposed to polluted air for a long period of time.
