It is a kind of tourism which has a
low carbon amount emission, that is to say, tourists should reduce as much
carbon dioxide emissions as possible. It is a green tourism based on low energy
consumption and low pollution, which advocates reducing the carbon footprint
and emission of carbon dioxide and is a reflection of environment-friendly
tourism at the deep level.
Five ways to reduce carbon emission
in tourism.
(1)Transportation: walking and
cycling are recommended. Trains are more preferable than planes and group
travel is more preferable than self-driving. If taking a plane is unavoidable,
then choosing the most appropriate airline and carrying the least amount of
luggage; if you really want to go by self-driving, you should maximize energy
efficiency by taking more people in your car.
(2)Food: do not use disposable
tableware or drink bottled water. Prepare the glassware yourself, eat local
seasonal fruits and vegetables and try to be a vegetarian.
(3)Shelter: do not change the bed sheet
and quilt cover in hotels unless it is necessary, and do not use their
disposable products.
(4)Shopping: try barter exchanges and
choose local and seasonal products with simple package.
(5)Travelling: make appropriate route
arrangement, separate and recycle waste, and avoid footprint in scenic areas.
