General Fortress is the most dangerous impregnable pass on Tianzhu peak. It is located in the steep precipices and cliffs caused by faulting, nearby boulders and emplacement which looks like a pass that one man can hold against ten thousand. Here, a base of rebels against the Yuan Dynasty was founded by Liu Yuan who was the rebel leader in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 A.D.). There are defences around East Fortress, South Fortress, West Fortress, North Fortress and Wild Man Fortress at the foothill.
