Overlooking the Xiguan peaks with Tianzhu Peak as the main body, high
and steep granite boulders point skyward and look like the long and narrow
tablets held by ministers when they went to court in ancient China. The
isolated peak on the right side is Tianzhu Peak and it looks like the emperor
when seen from a distance. So they are called Millions of Tablets Pointing to the
Sky. The granite boulders were cut into vertical slabs or columns by their
vertical joints and then after being cracked by weathering, fell and tilted with
different degrees due to gravity.
