It is said that Zuo Ci who was the founder of alchemy performed spiritual practices in the cave during the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 AD), so the cave was named Zuo Ci Alchemy Cave. The elixir preparation table was at the back of the cave,which is formed by weathering and collapse along the joints. The cave is about 2.6 meters high, 6 meters wide and 5 meters deep.
