Alchemy Lake is an artificial mountain lake formed by damming in 1998. It is named to honor Zuo Ci, the founder of alchemy who performed spiritual practices here during the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220AD). The lake,with an area of 22,600 square meters and water depth of up to 13 meters, contains 100,000 cubic meters of water.
