East Fortress Peaks
Category:Introduction of Geosites

East Fortress Peaks is a peak cluster formed by the granite from the early Cretaceous period (128 million years ago). Due to dense vertical joints, the granite mass was strongly weathered along its joints and cut by the fault, therefore peaks such as “Yingzhen Peak”, “Fupen Peak” and “Tianshi Peak” were formed.
