Yingzhen Peak is a pyramid-like peak which is composed of medium-grained monzonitic granite from the early Cretaceous period (128 million years ago). In Taoism, Tianzhushan is governed by the god of destiny and Yingzhen Peak is the place to greet him, so it is named after it. It is formed by weathering and denudation along the joints when the granite was exposed to the Earth’s surface
