
To popularize earth science knowledge and enhance awareness of natural resource conservation, Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark will host a series of science popularization activities for the 57th World Earth Day and the 7th Asia Pacific Geopark Week. Through offline popularization and online interaction, we will explore the mysteries of geology and protect our common homeland.


On May 28, Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark invited
more than 50 teachers and students from Doumu Central Primary School to hold a
science popularization activity on biodiversity protection in Tianzhushan
Geopark Museum.
This activity was carried out through visiting the
geopark museum, a science popularization lecture on biodiversity and a knowledge
contest, in a novel and active way. Students experienced the mystery of the
earth, the splendid of the ancient Wan State culture, life evolution, common vertebrates
and Paleontological fossils in Tianzhushan UGGp.
Through this science popularization activity, students
learnt about the current situation of biodiversity, the important relationship
between biodiversity and the development of mankind and the significance of
biodiversity protection, further aroused their awareness to protect the
eco-environment and the nature.
