April 22, 2024 is the 55th World Earth Day, and the theme of this year's Earth Day is "Planet vs. Plastics". In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, publicize Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, guide the whole society to establish the concept of ecological civilization of "respecting nature, conforming to nature, and protecting nature", promote the construction of beautiful Qianshan, and jointly build an earth home where man and nature coexist in harmony, Tianzhushan Global Geopark, Anqing Qianshan Ecological Environment Branch and Qianshan Pailou Central Primary School jointly carried out the 55th "World Earth Day" and the 5th Asia-Pacific Geopark Week Science Popularization Campaign. In the form of museum-school cooperation and joint construction and common benefit, Tianzhushan Geopark will give full play to the social education function of the museum and jointly build a "second classroom" for popular science education.

From Sep. 5 to Sep. 10, Tianzhushan UGGp attended the 10th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks 2023, held in Marrakesh city, Morocco. More than 1500 representatives from 50 countries attended the conference.
Held every two years, the International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks brought together people from around the world to share the latest discoveries and experiences on a wide variety of topics, from geological research to sustainable tourism, education or participatory management for sustainable development. This was the most important meeting for UNESCO Global Geoparks managers and members of the Global Geoparks Network to meet and exchange knowledge and experiences on the construction and operation of Geoparks.
Tianzhushan UGGp representatives attended the APGN meeting, 9 thematic seminars, common exhibitions and made in-depth exchange with other UGGps. On Sep. 8, Ms. HUANG Wen, deputy director of Tianzhushan Geopark Administrative Center, gave an oral presentation The Scientific Research and Science Popularization based on the Geodiversity of Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark.
During the closing ceremony, the Tianzhushan microfilm The Stone Pursuer was voted as the 2nd winner of the 2nd International Global Geoparks Network Film Festival.
