April 22, 2024 is the 55th World Earth Day, and the theme of this year's Earth Day is "Planet vs. Plastics". In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, publicize Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, guide the whole society to establish the concept of ecological civilization of "respecting nature, conforming to nature, and protecting nature", promote the construction of beautiful Qianshan, and jointly build an earth home where man and nature coexist in harmony, Tianzhushan Global Geopark, Anqing Qianshan Ecological Environment Branch and Qianshan Pailou Central Primary School jointly carried out the 55th "World Earth Day" and the 5th Asia-Pacific Geopark Week Science Popularization Campaign. In the form of museum-school cooperation and joint construction and common benefit, Tianzhushan Geopark will give full play to the social education function of the museum and jointly build a "second classroom" for popular science education.
To celebrate the
115th International Women's Day, the Women’s Federation of Tianzhushan Global
Geopark organized a unique event on March 5, 2025, blending natural landscapes
with cultural heritage. Over 100 female staff representatives participated in
activities such as nature exploration, cultural immersion, and fun
competitions, showcasing women’s elegance and uniting their collective drive
for progress.
In the morning,
the attendees visited the Dadi Tea Coffee site in Doumu Countryside, savoring
the fusion of tea aromas and pastoral charm. Then they visited the Yujianhechuan
B&B, experiencing the interplay of traditional architecture and modern
aesthetics. At the Doumu Ancient Pottery Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop,
they delved into the craftsmanship of millennia-old ceramic art. They also
joined a lively cultural performance and legal knowledge quiz at Hongxing
Village Square. The morning concluded with a tour of the newly built Tianzhushan
Research and Education Camp.
In the
afternoon, the female representatives visited Xuehu Park, exploring landmarks
like Shuwang Pavilion and Wenfeng Pagoda while uncovering local historical
legends. At Wanshan Library, they immersed themselves in ancient Anhui culture
by studying classics, viewing exhibits, reciting poetry, and experiencing
intangible cultural heritage activities. The event culminated in a spirited
"Guess-the-Word" game that energized the crowd.
This themed
event not only created unforgettable memories but also highlighted the vibrant
spirit and dedication of Tianzhushan’s female employees. In the future, they
will continue to contribute to the high-quality development of the geopark’s
tourism industry.
